4 stars out of 5

Thirty-year-old Tennessee native Chris Young has come a long way since being crowned the Season 4 winner of “Nashville Star” in 2006. He’s gone on to sell millions of copies of his first four studio albums, amassed six No. 1 singles and toured the world over as bona fide country music star.

Chris Young CDYoung keeps the momentum going with the release of terrific fifth album “I’m Comin’ Over.” It’s the long-awaited follow-up to 2013 gem “A.M.” and finds Young mixing ballads and honky-tonk anthems — all delivered in his signature twangy baritone — throughout the 11-track, 37-minute release.

Things get off to a great start with “Heartbeat” and the title track, and Young later hits all the right notes on standout cuts “You Do the Talkin’,” “I Know a Guy,” personal favorite “Sober Saturday Night,” “Calling My Name” and set closer “What If I Stay.” Enjoy, y’all. (Jeffrey Sisk)
