Up-and-coming hard rock outfit Bridge to Grace are doing their part to ensure there’s always a place for high-octane, guitar-driven rock ‘n’ roll. The Atlanta-based four-piece opened some eyes with 2013 debut EP “Staring in the Dark,” which generated a charting single in “The Fold,” and look to capitalize on that momentum with the release of their inaugural long player “Origins.”

Bridge To Grace CDWith growling vocals from David Garcia, blistering guitar work courtesy of Alex Cabrera, frenetic drumming from Justin Little and the steady bass of Christian Lowenstein, Bridge to Grace have a solid foundation in place. “Origins,” with a whopping 17 tracks clocking in at 68 minutes, overstays its welcome by about a third but there are flashes of brilliance to be found.

The guys wisely chose to include “The Fold” on the LP and profanity-laced second single “Bitch” is another winner. Additionally, Bridge to Grace score with “Lost in Memories,” “Everything,” “Mercury” and “Adrenaline.” Less effective is power ballad “Won’t Let Go.” With a bit more seasoning, and some judicious editing in he studio, they could be special.
