Nashville-based indie pop/folk singer/songwriter Jennell is making a name for herself on the music scene. The infectious “Home” is her latest EP — coming on the heels of “Urban Cowboy” and “Boots N Dukes” — and finds Jennell clicking on all cylinders.
“I am so excited about the new album,” says Jennell, who grew up in Wyoming and moved to Los Angeles before relocating to Music Row. “I am more excited about this than anything I have ever done. I worked so hard on this project and was involved in every detail of making the EP, that no matter what happens, I will be proud of it. It is honest and from the heart … it is my story.”
The best cuts bookend the five-track, 15-minute release. Opener “Long Way From Home” and flat-out fantastic closer “Feels Like Home” are worth the purchase price by themselves. In between are solid entries like “Put Down a Bottle,” “This One’s for You” and “Pave My Own Way.” Jennell seems poised for stardom in the not-too-distant future. (Jeffrey Sisk)
