Though sisters Gwendolyn (age 19) and Lucy Giles (16) — better known in music circles as pop-punk duo Dog Party — are still in their teens, they’ve been around the block a few times already. The Northern California-based twosome dropped their first EP in 2009 and really came into their own with 2013 sophomore full-length “Lost Control.”

Dog Party CDThe talented siblings are back with another winning effort in “Vol. 4.” Having already toured extensively throughout Europe and across the United States the Giles sisters (Gwendolyn on guitar and vocals; Lucy on drums and vocals) have fine-tuned their sound.

Dog Party strut their way through a 13-track slab that whisks by in a very efficient 30 minutes. Among the highlights of “Vol. 4” are “Dead Guy,” “Peanut Butter Dreams,” “Lipstick Lips,” “Creepin’,” “I Can’t Believe That You’re Real” and “Space Invader.” The future is bright for this up-and-coming band.
