Synth pop duo Young Ejecta (formerly just Ejecta) made serious waves with their debut album “Dominae.” Now, two years later and with a new moniker, they’ve struck back with a mini album “The Planet” that lets Leanne Macomber and Joel Ford continue their narrative.

These six tracks go down easily enough, with opener “Into Your Heart,” sexually charged “Welcome to Love,” and blurry “Recluse” standing out. Yet the songs don’t have the strength and immediacy of what’s on their debut, and they kind of fade from memory once the album dissolves at the end of “What You Done.” Let’s see what their next full-length
feels like. (Brian Krasman)
