Roots duo Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons take listeners on a rich and rewarding musical journey on latest collaboration “Take Yo Time.” Fiddler wizard/vocalist Hunter and banjoist/guitarist/vocalist Seamons shine on a 14-track release inspired by a myriad of early 20th century musical styles.

Joe & Ben CDTwangy opener “Jazz Fiddler” sets the tone, and Hunter & Seamons later score with “Mississippi Heavy Water Blues,” “Jungle Nights in Harlem,” “Long Tall Mama,’ “Broke Down Engine Blues,” “Tom Dooley,” “Beaumont Rag” and “Some of These Days.” It’s a testament to their musical gifts that they can breathe new life into some classic songs. Enjoy, y’all. (Jeffrey Sisk)
