Electronic musician Chris Child spent eight years of his childhood in Japan and those days remain a strong influence on him almost three decades later. Recording under the Kodomo moniker — the name translates to “child” in Japanese — “Patterns & Light” is his third album.

Kodomo CDKodomo, now a Brooklyn resident, also drew inspiration from Bach, Schubert, Debussy and Chopin when crafting this 12-track LP.
