Once a solo project for Australian singer/songwriter Hannah Botting, Owl & Mouse have evolved into an incredibly promising full-fledged indie folk outfit. Debut EP “Somewhere to Go” is a revelation, with the four-piece outfit serving up a delightful collection of four songs.

Owl & Mouse CDAnchored by Botting’s sublime vocals and ukulele, there isn’t a bad song in the abbreviated bunch. Bookend cuts “Don & Anna” and “Terrible Things” are the standouts, but Owl & Mouse are almost as impressive on “Western Skies” and “Don’t Read the Classics.” Keep an eye on these up-and-comers.
